Sommvi is an AI-native wine sommelier for iOS, built on the belief that the best wine recommendation is a personal one. Where traditional wine apps offer ratings from thousands of strangers, Sommvi builds a living picture of your specific palate — and uses it to tell you what you'll love, not what everyone else loves.
At the heart of the app is the palate profile: a six-dimensional map of your taste preferences — boldness, tannin, acidity, earthiness, fruit intensity, and floral character — built quietly from every wine you interact with. The palate quiz provides a fast, accurate starting point in about four minutes. From there, every scan, every conversation, every bottle added to your cellar teaches the sommelier something new about you.
The core features: a conversational AI sommelier you can ask anything; a camera-based label scanner that identifies any wine in seconds and gives you a palate match score; a personal cellar; a wishlist; and a points and tier system that rewards ongoing exploration.
